Ecuflash on our Evo X fuel tuning...

As everyone knows, ecuflash does not have a data logger yet. This thread is just to show what a little fueling can do at stock boost levels. We are tinkering with fuel to smooth out our power band until we can really rip into this cars ecu when a good logger comes out for ecuflash. I know you can use pcmscan but it still does not log knock sum.

Our dyno also reads incredibly low so no bashing please. This is just for data.

Stock boost, raising the air fuel into the 11:1: range.

Power/torque increased 10whp peak and up to 40whp/40wtq with just some minor fuel adjustments. Still a little lumpy but you guys get the point.

As you can see, power improves everywhere especially in the low- mid range.
Like I stated above, nothing drastic and nothing new here just some more data for everyone to chew on.

No this is not stock. If you followed a few of my other threads it has the mods list in them.

Buschur TBE
Buschur 4.5" IC
Buschur IC pipes
Buschur inline MBC
DG Motors Intake

baseline was 204whp

The fueling changes were made with "stock" boost settings.

25psi with more tuning!

Here we go, making progress. Still needs some tweaking from peak tq(3800rpm)-(4400rpm) Dips since I have not adjusted the air fuel for the increase in boost in that area. It is so hard to focus on the dyno when you have customer's walking in and phones ringing every two minutes so I only have a few minutes here and there to make my tweaks. Power is up ridiculous throughout the whole power band. Don't be concerned with peak power as I have just about enough timing as I would like to run for now until we can get everything else patched up. Air fuel ratio is 11.5 tapering to 11.2 at 7500rpm.

+65wtq +50whp at 3800rpm
+30wtq +30wtq at 5252rpm

All tuning done in 4th gear at 25psi.
Oh and by the way, all boost cut etc is gone....I do not miss that at all.

Here is Bone Stock vs bolt ons w/ Tune!!!!

A damn good comparison of what a bone stock evo x with 2 miles on it from the dealer does compared to a full bolt on evo X running buschur products.

It makes more tq then it did horsepower at redline.....

Our evo X

Full Buschur TBE
Buchur IC pipes w/ race fimic
Buschur inline mbc
DG Motors intake
stock fuel pump
stock injectors

So, is it better to have more horsepower, or torque?

Better is determined on the setup and what you are going to do with car. The only reason torque is higher than horsepower is because of the horrible boost taper with the stock actuator on this car. I ordered a forge wastegate actuator which will hold boost better. I can determine a huge increase in peak horsepower if i can get this thing to hold 3-4 more psi at redline. Right now it is tapering to roughly 16/17psi. With 20/21psi at redline we will see an easy 30whp peak in whp along with more whp/wtq throughout the power band. Peak torque will be the same unless we up the boost/timing.

It all depends on what you want your car to do or how you use it.

Thanks! The tune on this car is very impressive. DO NOT let those number's fool you.

If anyone is familiar with TSA's awd dynojet in Queens, It reads 80-90whp higher than ours on any setup.
