Thumbs up UR Testpipe added, +16whp

Ultimate Racing testpipe added a good deal of power. We were able to add more timing up top but had to add some fuel in the midrange. This thing is loud, not bothersome really, but be sure you like loud if you already have the bullet muffler buschur racing catback. Good combo though

Here's the graphs. It was on a Dyno Dynamics dyno.

Old dyno is below the new one.

Here's the new one with afr, and also below it with boost.

All done with ECUflash too.

Also no CEL's yet, woo.

Are you on 91 octane? If you are on 93, then your power shouldn't be curling over up top like that. If you are, then that's pretty normal; 91 limits how much timing you can run, especially up top, and that seems to show pretty frequently on dyno comparisons of similarly modded Xs on 91 when compared to 93. As a point of reference, I was also tuned on a dynodynamics, and my car has an UICP (surprisingly good for about 10-15 whp, so if you don't have one, GET ONE!), drop in filter, and an ecutek tune and I made 293 with the power peaking close to redline and holding flat all the way to fuel cut.

Below is my dynograph if you want to see for comparison. Even with a full catless turbo back exhaust and running more boost, the midrange fattens up without creating a curl up top. It's not until you get cams that the crappy stock turbo really shows it weaksauce character up top, and in that case, it will curl noticeably up top (even on 93). Oh, the baseline was 250, and this was done with the UICP, drop in, and AMSOIL SSO oil (slightly lighter than mobile 1 on the centistoke scale, which will add a few ponies too). Stock Xs put out about 220 on this dyno, if you were curious.

It was 92 octane and I think on this dyno X's put down 210ish stock. Less if anything.

My tuner put mine on the safe side of everything, He didn't add a ton of timing. He doesn't like the factory knock detection and how it pulls timing so he went conservative. I prefer to keep my engine a little healthier anyway. I think I need an FP red

Shouldn't have a problem, most vendors will not say for sure if their pieces will work with other peoples pieces just because they can't be positive and it isn't great for business. But almost all of the big names make their stuff to work with stock parts and a testpipe just replaces the stock cat. So if the AMS bolts up to the stock cat which it does it should have no problem mating up to a testpipe from anyone in theory. You should be good to go, but anything is possible.

Mine is tuned pretty conservatively as well, and am not "riding the knock sensors" either. Either way, nice gains.

Thanks.

Do you have your dyno graph with boost? Just wanted to see your taper.
