Yup.

Looks like we found out the stock pump doesn't work so well with E85 at this current level. Maxed it out now that the car is on 100% E85, lost fuel control.

The owner is getting an upgraded pump and coming back in.

Couple data points however is that the Forge WGA upgrade + the 3 port boost solenoid upgrade brought down wastegate duty cycles at peak boost to 5500 rpm by almost 30 points.

More as soon as we get the car back in!

Had the Evo back in today after upgrading the fuel pump. Fuel control came back.

Also ended up making 380whp peak (from 364whp), with 20whp gains in areas of the curve.

I'll update with more info/data soon...

Unfortunatly the stock clutch gave up the ghost when he took it on a test drive after.

Awesome tune guys. Unfortunate to hear about the clutch, but I'm sure a twin-disc couldn't hurt.

Hey Bryan, what kind of torque was the car putting out? It sounds like you guys found the limits of the stock clutch.

I'll have to call the "customer" about what fuel pump upgrade he did.

Ok here we go...

This Evo 10 came back in after addressing some fuel delivery problems.

For the back history on this Evo 10 on E85 see the 1st post in this thread.

parts added since last time:

Walboro Fuel Pump upgrade (maxed out the stock one on E85)
Forge wastegate actuator
Pierburg 3port boost solenoid

Fuel control came back. Went from shooting up to 13.5 AFR at 6500 last time to 10.1 AFR this time on the base run.

The single 3port boost solenoid gave up nothing to the stock two solenoid arrangement and added control and precision over the factory 2port (the same things we always see when upgrading to a 3port in the Evo 8/9)

The Forge Wastegate helped to hold more boost. However, the stock turbo is now done within this arrangement @ 41lb. The airflow would just flat line and the turbo would supply no more flow.

Keep in mind everything is still just bolt ons, no porting, a quiet "stealth" exhaust and still stock cams.

This time around it made:

380whp / 371wtq

Great power for a Evo 10 on the stock turbo and cams so far on our dyno.

and boost before with stock actuator and stock solenoids:

You can see I tuned in 1psi-2psi more in the low and midrange over last time. From 5500 on, the stock boost control system was maxed out 100% duty cycle before. You can see now with the upgraded WGA and 3port I was able to get almost 2 more psi out of it 5500 to redline

How safe is running 28 psi on e85 stock block? I just recently switched to e85 running 23psi atm making 332awhp mustang.

Good to see more people running E85! I think the whole point of it is that you can turn the boost up much higher as well as adjust timing without fear of detonation. To what extent, I don't know though.
