Dom2 on pump+meth = 200WHP over stock!

Guys, just want to share with you what we've accomplished with my car over the past few months. I can't believe how bada$$ the EvoX motor is. I've pretty much done most of the work myself aside from the tuning.

Anyway, I never had it dyno'd completely stock but it, but the closest to it was with a 3" catback and intake and it made 227whp. So purely it may have been about 210whp. Here's what the results were from the first go with just a tune and a few basic bolt-ons.

Here's what the results are now! Upgraded the turbo to a Dominator2 that I got from Buschur Racing, bought a cat delete, 820cc injectors, and a Meth kit from Motion Lab Tuning, and of course a new tune. Still using factory IC pipes and intercooler!!!

Notice how the power conitunes to climb past 8k RPMs! Got to love the EvoX valve train and head. Still climbing but the boost steadily falls off from 28-24psi. Probably will just upgrade to a bigger turbo next and see how well the head does with additional air flow.

Thanks again to tmarcel for making this happen! He's a great tuner and helped me troubleshoot my meth kit to get it working.

Stewart

Great numbers! I'm putting this turbo in next week so it's good to see others having such great luck with them.

Crazy numbers! I wouldn`t overlook the stock I/C though especially with a turbo upgrade, do it just for safety reasons.

Sweet numbers! I just installed the Dom 2, AMS FMIC, 800cc injectors...just have a base map for now until I break in my clutch. I can't wait to tune this bad boy.

I'll make a few comments here since I was the one that tuned the motor, both "before and after" tunes. First off, I too was VERY impressed with the way the motor took to the mods! And yes, the cams and the UICP/LICP are all stock. That head design is simply amazing for a factory set up.

Hopefully Stewart get's some IC pipes on there at the minimum here shortly and we can see what the results are. No doubt they are restrictive for the airflow that is moving through them.

Also, I want to comment on the injectors and the cat-delete. These are factory injectors that have been modified and flow tested. The set we through in there are roughly 820cc. Idle quality is factory stock-like and they only required a slight bump in open time. The injectors are more than enough injector flow considering his car runs meth/water injection which lowers the fueling requirements. His meth kit also uses the largest single injector that Coolingmist makes. Next setp for him will be two smaller injectors split when he goes to a bigger turbo.

The other component that made a really big change in performance was adding a cat-delete. We used 3" SS piping and flanges along with an L shaped O2 bung that prevents a CEL. We observed a 1-1.5psi increase and about 40whp gain from that on regular old pump gas IIRC.

Todd

Thanks. I also for to mention that the car pulled 390whp on straight 93oct (no meth). That was tuned to the absolute edge though. The meth route is the safer route, and more power to boot

If you could isolate the meth from above. what difference in hp and tq do you think it would have made safely without it.

If i remember correctly with it safe on pump gas the whp was between 375whp and 380whp.Im not sure what the torque was but my tuner should be able tell you all the correct #s when he gets back on here.
