Wow.
Everyone is an SST expert now! I find it hard to believe that companies are releasing new SST parts when people haven't even begun to tap the ECU (well, some have, finally.)
I think this transmission can handle 400lbs of torque no problem. Hell, I bet 500 if it had better cooling and possibly new clutch packs. There is a lot going on in the ECU!

An update from Chris would be great right about now....
I do agree though that tuning for the SST is what is really lacking, I think the stock tranny can handle a good amount more than what people think.

you guys did pick up on this not being an EVO X right..?? this does NOT have the sst tranny!
E85 does wonders. If you havn't tried it you should...I went from 91 oct (all we have in Wichita) + Methanol injection which put down 450WHP with 405WTQ @ 29.5 PSI to E85 @ 31 PSI which made 506 WHP With 472 WTQ with an amazing tune by KevinD of Evolution Dynamics in TX. MINE IS A IX not a X though.

He's talking about Balistik's post. Jon, if you look at the comparison between Chris's car @93 octane vs E85, you'll see that his results are directionally similar to Balistik's.

Well I have been driving the car every day and there are still no problems to report. True calculated fuel economy (not the dash readout) is down to 14mpg, although I have been getting on it a bit more
