I've seen the dom 2 hold 29psi. (I know you did 26 on purpose in this instance) It's a serious stock appearing turbo.

Nice power btw.

What would MBT be really for the evo X? I'm running upwards of 20 degrees at redline with aggressive mivec and 20psi of boost.

Very nice numbers btw. I'm still waiting for a shop to post about the Green otherwise i'm sticking with the dom2.0.

Thank You, I am going to assume you have seen the dom 2 hold 29psi with either an ebc or 3 port via ecu controlled boost?

Mbt varies per setup, there is not a general mbt for the evo x. Rule of thumb for mbt most of the time is when you can add max timing and not make anymore power on a giving setup or fuel.

I haven't seen many greens make the type of power Gst and I are making at the boost pressure and fuel we have been running on the dom 2's with the evo x's compared to lets say an evo 9.

For reference:

A green on 93 Octane will make 350-365 at 25/26psi (Tbe,Intake,Mbc,IC,IC Piping,fuel pump,780's. Evo 9)

A dom 2 will make 360-390 with the same: Fuel,Boost,Mods listed above.

I am running like 24-25 degrees up top on my car since the stocker sucks and tapers so much so its easy with E-85. My tuner said he could keep adding timing but no more power was being made so he backed it down. So I hit the timing plateau.

Ps. Nice work DG, Makes me wonder if a DOM2 would have been the way to go for me

Yea the stock turbo needs a good amount of timing to make the real power. We are running a little more than what you listed for your stock turbo on this DOM2 right now. It made 415 once at this boost but pulled a 4 count right where you see that little dip between 6,400 to 6,600rpm. I backed off a degree and I haven't seen anything more than a short range of twos in that area now. Everything else is smooth and clean as a whistle. Not even 1's anywhere. It's great to use good fuel isn't it?

It's really still a touch decision IMO. I don't have enough data to say the Red will make more power since we haven't tuned both turbos past 30psi on any gas. Both turbos make nearly identical power up to 30psi.

I would assume the red will take over past 30psi but I can not be sure until we get a car willing to push the button further.

The one thing I can tell you is that I can get my hands on a new blouch unit within a business week compared to the waiting list on a red. It is also $400.00 cheaper

Took me 6 days or something to get my FP red, and that was with upgraded actuator/new anti surge compressor housing and a port job from them

The dom2 has always been more from my understanding, unless you guys just get a good deal on them?

We have a close friend who deals with Blouch directly. We can get them in no more than a full business week tailored to our liking.

The last FP Red turbo took 6 weeks to come in. Nothing against FP, their products are great.
