Truth is,, I prefer the DW's that were out of stock when the owner tried to purchase them, but MAperformance gave him a great deal on these. Plenty of headroom for power, but for now I prefer the ease of tuning the DW's.

Today I placed the evo x bov in the trashcan where it belongs and replaced it with an ix bov. Car felt smoother with it on and felt 'snappier' (if that's even a word).

Tephra,

I really appreciate guys like you who are the 'unsung heros' behind opensource's growth on the evo platforms. Your words are my bible when it comes to all of the definitions/code to manipulate the ecu.

In fact expect a paypal from me asap!!

Is fitment the same or are the outlets at different angles? I'm wondering if the Tomei or Works IX BOVs with upgraded springs would work well on a X.

If that were the case then why do none of the BOV manufacturers list those valve as being suitable for a X? I wouldn't have wasted the money on a Coto Sports BOV if I had known for sure that a IX BOV would work as well.

I would have bought a Tomei or Works with an upgraded spring but they are only advertised as being for the older Evos.
