FP Red + GSC Stage 2's...Thank You Ivey
Well I went back to the crew at Ivey for Round 2 of mods:
Lower set of numbers on the graph (409whp and 331wtq) included the following mods:
1. ETS Intake
2. ETS Downpipe
3. ETS Testpipe
4. HKS HI Power Cat Back
5. ETS 3.5inch FMIC
6. ETS Upper and Lower Intercooler Kit
7. FIC 1,000cc Injectors
8. Walboro 255 Fuel Pump
9. AEM Gauges
10. FP Red
Car was tuned on 93 Shell Gas at 25psi and made the numbers listed above.
Needless to say I was happy with the car, but like most EVO owners I wanted more. So I did alot of research with Mr. Ivey and we decided to install round 2 of mods which inlcude:
1. GSC Stage 2 Camshafts
2. Supertech Valve Springs
3. ARP Head Studs
4. ARP Rod Bolts
5. Crush the stock BOV
Again the car was tuned on 93 Shell Gas at 25psi. The dyno room temps with humidity were close to 92 degrees. Needless to say I am beyond happy with my new numbers. Car pulls hard on the street all the way to 8K. Mr. Ivey got these cams to idle great and being that this is my Daily Driver I am very pleased with these cams. Final numbers are 444whp and 371wtq. Again thank you Mr. Ivey and the gang at Ivey Tune. Very clean install, tune is spot on as always and I just can't say enough good things about you. Mr. Ivey even called me later that night to see how I was enjoying the car. I cannot wait for round 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
Just with the addition of the GSC Stage 2 camshafts and a re-tune on the same gas and same boost levels I gained:
35whp
40wtq
Alot of people on the forums said that these cams were to big, but as you can see by my dyno chart I gained power from 3,500rpms all the way to 8,000rpms.

35whp for cams AND crushing the bov... there's no way to know how much crushing the bov is worth, but might well be 15-20whp... which leaves similar gain for the cams (15-20whp)...
Either way, nice gains

Amazing gains! must be a lot of fun knock on wood
wondering what kind of gains on hp/tq you would get with a cosworth head and a ported manifold
Im going with a similar setup but with the jun272 cams which are taking ages to deliver, cosworth head, ported mani, and the DW800cc injectors which should be sufficient I hope!
Do you know what was your IDC% with the FIC1000s?

Thank You
Thank You
It was nice to finally have a conversation with you ED. Your Supra is one of my dream cars, along with a C6 Z06. If you ever decide you want a WW 2010 EVO X, come see me, I would gladly take that Supra.
I pressure tested the stock BOV. It was holding fine at 25psi, the only reason I asked Mr. Ivey to crush it was because I plan on coming in for a race gas tune shortly Crushing the stock BOV had nothing to do with the increase in power, because it was holding 25psi before the install of the cams and when Mr. Ivey tuned my car the boost was left untouched.
Not sure what the IDC% is on my FIC 1000s. DW800cc might be to small I would look into that
I do not have a video camera but if you PM me your cell phone number I will try and take a video on my phone and send it to you. Alot of people are interested in idle results, so if any EVOM members are willing to meet me and take an idle video of my car to help out other EVOM members that wouyld be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
