335whp - Adam@MMS

Evo X, full exhaust from the turbo back, intake, Perrin 3 port boost controller. Did a street tune and a road course tune (lower timing, lower boost, more fuel). Dyno graph and some installation pictures below. -Adam

This is my car that was worked on. Adam is a stand up guy and does some great work, both installing and tuning. I'm very happy with the tune and the quality of his work. Will definitely go back to him for future mods.

I am not familiar with MMS and the dyno setup. What kind of Dyno are you guys running?

Is such richer, lower boost and less timing at the track mandatory? Could you have use a more aggressive setup?

No clue on what Dyno he used.
From what Adam told me running the 25psi map at the track is too risky. With that much boost everything will overheat and stuff can start going wrong after you do a few 20min sessions. Maybe with a better intercooler and other work done to the engine it would be fine but for a pretty stock setup I rather be safe than sorry.

For a 20 minute road course session in hot weather, short answer, no, you should not go more aggressive, unless you like to gamble on melting pistons.

The dyno is a Dynojet, says so on the top of the dyno sheet above. -Adam

Is the Evo X more likely to have overheating issues than the IX? I run about 26psi for my roadrace tune (races are 40 minutes) on 100 octane. I also have a street tune for non track/pump gas driving. I was making 350whp/350ft pounds on AMS dyno before the SCCA gave me a 60hp restrictor. I have raced in over 100 degree weather with track temps over 150 degrees with no issues. So I would suggest your track tune to be on 100 oct and your street tune on pump gas so you can get everything out of the car safely. After 4 seasons of racing and over 20k on the car, I have never touched the motor. I ask because im considering switching to an X in the near future.

I have never run or logged an Evo 10 on track, only my 8. Combustion temperatures heating up on long runs would apply to any forced induction machine though.

I do agree with you. I tell my customers to either run their 93 octane street tune on race gas or turn down the boost if they are going to run pump gas for a road course session. Better safe than sorry.
