AMS 2.3l ID1600cc's 900x-91 Octane Results!

Hello,

We just finished up this car and I wanted to share it.

This car has the following:

AMS 2.3l Big Bore
Injector Dynamics 1600cc Inj
AMS 900x Turbo kit
AMS supporting mods
Kelford B Cams
Stock Head
Stock ECU
25psi
91 octane

Car made great numbers for 91 octane! The customer only has 91 where he lives so it was tuned for it instead of 93.

Thanks for looking,

Mitch Mckee
AMS

Not very often you get to see a FLAT torque curve all the way to redline! Looks like you guys fabbed up a blower on that thing by the shape of the curve.

Great work Mitch!

Question More HP with more RPMs?

Would this have happened if the run was stopped @ 8,000 RPMs, given that the HP curve was still headed towards the sky @ 7,200 RPMs? I am assuming that the "Built" 2.3L motor can still safely operate @ 8,000 RPMs.

i am pretty sure they have run the 2.2/2.3L motors up to 10k rpms.

Nice graph AMS, looks great.

Any idea when those ID1600's are going to be available to everyone?

Still wondering if more RPM would have produced more HP? The Dyno Graph makes me think the motor would have.

I didnt mean stroker. Generally when I write 2.3l stroker just seems to follow. This is done in bore and what allows us to be able to rev the motor out to 9500RPM.

thats the fun with the evo x you can just bore it instead of doing a stroker. Great power though.
