2011 Stock Evo Dyno Results - Ivey Tune
2011 Stock Evo Dyno Results - Ivey Tune
Wanted to share my results. Only Mod is a K&N Drop In filter. Car feels great. Butt dyno is happy
I will definitely be back to Ivey when I add some bolt ons.

Some what new at this...
What tune can quickly and easily be removed and put back to stock to keep Mitsu warranty valid when going in for work or maintenance?
I was looking at the COBB access port...can I get a custom dyno tune with that at some point if I wanted?
Thanks!
(PS care will stay stock with possible exception of air intake or filter.)

^ no offense but from noob to a non noob. You could have found those answers in about 2 min with google.
Yes you can get a dyno tune using the cobb AP.
Yes it can be reverted/flashed back to oem map within 10 min, not taking into account the ecu learning timeframe. On my subie it was about 1 hr worth of driving.
Does it cost more than an open source tune?
Yes cause you gots to buy the AP.
Here is my question.
Can Mitsu pull logs/ecu data after you have unmarried/reflashed to OEm map? In other words , does the evo ECU store past values, boost, rpm, timing, maf, IDC etc.
This is why I wont tune mine. Im new to the game but apparently Mitsubishi denies warranty claims as easy as 123 DONE with you.
Any Mitsu Reps or people with true experience/knowledge please chime in.

- no
- no
- Tunes once flashed back = Stock again
- Cant deny a warranty if you do it right
Do note that the Cobb AP does not *currently* support the 2011 Evos. They are working on it diligently and have indicated it will be done before the end of the year though.
I would be interested in hearing more when you have the time. I have read on multiple threads about dealers testing oil to see if tq/hp levels were raised. Is this even possible?
One I saw today was warranty denial due to oil changes being done on a stock car by tuner/non mitsu shop. They requested receipts not only from the service but also from the oil purchased. I mean COME ON!
if you have any links to valuable theads or info please pm. Thanks.
Quick response, thanks.

As for the first bit, they cannot tell, by way of checking oil, if you had increased HP or not. Temperature and wear are what break down oil, and not a specific HP or Torque number. Increased HP may cause increased temperature, but it's only one of many things that can do this. Other things include stop and go traffic, cold-starts, type of radiator fluid, climate, ambient temps, driving conditions, etc. There are so many other factors that contribute to the fluctuation of oil life than insignificant mods. I say insignificant because if you are worried about warranty, then you are not likely to run the type of mods required to affect oil life (larger turbos, engine internals, extreme temperature fluctuations from racing, higher boost levels, etc).
Thanks.
I do take peoples experience with a grain of salt but when you keep reading stories and then 3 of your neighboors within 2 days of vehicle purchase mention warranty redemption issues with mitsubishi's... well you start to worry.
I am very careful with all my vehicles and have an excellent track record. Now im worried that if I put my car in Sport mode the mitsubishi police will show me the door, should something happen.
anywhoo thanks for the info.
