It's nice to see people embracing newer automotive technology and making it work with modding. So are the new clutch disks a different friction material, thicker, more of them, all of the above?
It's 10 clutch discs versus the stock 8 and it's a better material as well as viton seals versus stock, rubber thickness was about the same. So far I'm pleased I went on a 3000 mile trip after the install and really got on it pretty hard and had no issues

The most impressive part is the power that COBB got from the car on a green. Its the highest hp green they have seen.

great numbers! Its nice seeing sst owners getting some great numbers, you considering building your block, or are you safe with those mods?

Cool video

Although that repetitive song made me wanna stab myself in the eye after about 3 minutes lol.

Congrats on some awesome power in a MR!

He has a 100% stock short block (and the only thing done to the head is cams/springs).

There is no need to sleeve the block at the current hp and tq numbers. The tune is NOT agressive. The funny thing is I'm maxing out my injectors so I actually have more power available. Just lacking fuel. In case I'm asked again I have ID 1000's

Very sweet setup and nice to see those type of numbers on a stock bottom. I have been debating if I want to get the Evo 9 or Evo X and the main reason for the 9 was the iron block, but I think I will go Evo X. Btw, anyone know if those numbers are ok for the stock MR tranny?

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! I was not sure how far I could safely push the SST so I was keeping it simple with future mods: intake, UICP, exhaust and reflash, but after seeing that I know I can safely proceed with other plans as well...THANK YOU!!!!

Daily driven in HOT Texas weather and no issues. Runs like a scalded dog.
