BBX Lite on E85 and 93 oct-
We just finished a BBX lite build for one of our good clients-
The car originally came to us for a map switch tune on 93 and E85 on the stock turbo-
Shortly after he decided he wanted more power-
The parts that were changed were:
CBRD BBX Lite
Full Race manifold (very nice- even though we like our own ahahah- have to tease Geoff a little)
His other mods are:
ETS IC pipes and Intake
3 port EBCS (the only way we will tune a X)
turboback exhaust
FIC 1100cc Injectors
This car is a road race car so we went very conservative on tuning for longevity purposes- temps were 86-88 degrees and 38% humidity during both sets of tunes-
Here is the 93 octane BBX Lite (solid lines) versus stock turbo on 93

And here is the E85 tune-
94% IDC at 25.2 psi at 7200 rpm--- so we didnt want to push any harder- plus- nice and reliable-

you can see from the charts that at redline the car is up a solid 70whp and 70 wtq on both fuels over the stock turbo-
nice gains and a nice broad power curve--
Cheers

no this is not an MR-
but I will be doing an MR in about 1.5 weeks- with our FMIC/Manifold/BBX Lite-
Ill have to pull some MR charts for you!
the BBX Lite is a very nice turbo- solid response and good gains- it is the turbo I had on my GSR!

BBK is our evo IX derivative-
it is a reverse rotation turbo with a 49 lbs min compressor wheel and upgraded turbine-
the evo X BBX turbos (lite and full) are non reverse rotation and are 52 lbs min and 57 lbs min respectively-

Badass! No question, if I started over with my X on a stock motor, I'd go this route. Badass powerband on a simple setup that should last forever!
You mentioned road racing, what are you using for a fuel system setup?

+1 ?
I like "last forever" as i hope my evo does too. Nice set up way to hit the 400 hp barrier. I'm hoping to do the same but with a stock turbo with a few more mods.

As for the Lite VS Full-
the full is a pretty large turbo (57ish lbs min) so I really recommend it for people running 27+ psi- whereas the Lite works great in the 24-28 psi range (makes massive torque around 30)...
The Lite is my personal preference (I had about 9-10 different turbos on my evo X GSR )

Oh I just like the simplicity of the setup here. My BBX has always urged me to push the car and well..now I have a built engine
I'm SUPER happy with my BBX setup now but this kind of power on such a simple setup is always amazing to me.Basically I was super happy with my BBX on stock manifold and stock cams, but then once I put on MAP's tubular there was just a *little* missing in the 3500-rpm range. I didn't care because the car was fun as hell up top! I didn't realize how much I missed it until I had the car back together with the ported head and kelford cams, they gave me back the low-end and then-some! So like I said I'm super happy with my current setup but if I were to stick with a stock longblock I'd simply do the BBX Lite with E85, exactly the setup presented here. Prolly could use a little more boost up top though
