Dyno testing: PPI & Mil.Spec ported parts!
First of all I want to thank Wayne at PPI and Aby at Mil.Spec for the port work, Rmondoh for lending a hand with the installs, and also the guys at Cobb Tuning - Plano for working with me on these back-to-back comparisons and the consistently great tunes. I think it really says something when whether it be 20F or 110F the car runs just awesome!
2010 Evo X GSR SSS: stock turbo/93 octane pump gas
before
AFE Stage 2 DryflowS intake
Perrin turbo inlet pipe
Nisei UICP
MAP FMIC
MAP o2 elim downpipe
ETS testpipe
Cobb catback
Grimspeed 3-port BCS
Cobb Accessport (protuned by Calvin @ Cobb - Plano)
after
+Mil.Spec ported intake manifold
+Mil.Spec 64mm ported throttle body
+MAP phenolic heat barrier intake manifold gasket
+PPI extreme ported/silver coated exhaust manifold
+retune (same AFR, slightly less boost)

I am thrilled with the results! The car definitely pulls harder will the new mods and torque hits hard. It feels great on the streets, I definitely recommend these parts; solid gains on my stock turbo/pump gas car, they'll only get better with bigger turbos.

I also did the same to my car with the help of Kracka on the installs.

Nice, thanks for posting your results too Mondo! I think right now what's holding you back from my torque numbers is your stock o2 housing...but since Murlo is now selling his AMS widemouth...
It's amazing how similar our curves are though, I think both of our stock turbos are beyond maxed:

Ported IM/TB are definitely on my wishlist...it's hard to imagine needing more power but with gains like this on the stock turbo/pump gas, I cannot wait to see what it does on my BBX/E85 setup!

I believe regular prices for the porting are $150 from PPI (EM) then $375 from Mil.Spec (IM & TB). We had our exhaust manifolds coated locally by SPC in Arlington. Then the MAP phenolic gasket is $40 I believe.

I can also add that even with the larger throttle body the drivability of my car remains unchanged. The car still does great sitting in traffic, hot days, A/C on, whatever! Getting on/off the throttle is still very smooth, no weird bucking or anything. Even before tuning it was surprising how well the X ECU was able to compensate for the larger throttle body, something my IX's ECU could never do.
