the aero and turbines are different-

the X turbo has a 20psi actuator---

and one is reverse rotation other isnt- in different housings from X to IX I think that was the main point-

My "little' BBX Lite flows more then 50lb/m and the BBX is even larger.

The BBX Lite is closer to the Evo 8/9 BBK then the Evo 10 BBX.

let me state this another way

the HKS TURBO compressor and the BBX compressor both use a redesigned 20g profile compressor.
this means an original 20g compressor wheel from mitsubishi will fit in either housing just perfectly.

redesigned profile means the housing shape does not change. you can make the compressor wheel taller and the hub smaller to achieve greater flow rates. thats what BOTH of these turbos have done with 20g compressor covers. BOTH wheels are a 52.5mm inducer.

the absurd part is you are trying to sell me that the BBX profile is 9lb per minutes superior to the HKS profile.

are you smelling the CRAP yet? cause its being layed on real heavy in here.bottom line as I already stated these turbo are extremely close in flow rates. maaaaaaybe 3lb better flow given to the BBX. which should have resulted in about 30whp.

posting the BBX made 90whp more than an obviously crappy tune 340whp tune from the HKS???? really? we even have to debate how stupid this is???

I am out. let the children play...

well, first of all, the profile of the BBX full and a BBK full are dramatically different---- as its two completely different applications--

the tune on the car was originally done at AMS in chicago (as mitch will confirm) and we put it on our dyno and then played around with the tune- most boost would pick up some torque but it was very knock prone--

the bbx full EASILY picked up a massive amount of power----

the BBX full is a 60mm inducer for your information--- once again, not even the same as a BBK full in aero or application

again the bbx full is rated in the 55-57 lbs min range...

Since you are "out" I sent you a PM to reconfirm this information that way you would have it straight the next time you comment-

Cheers

From: 900 pounds lighter than a X.
So i spoke with Ivey on the phone yesterday,I bought the HKS turbo from him.He said he has done so many of them HKS turbo's he can't remember exactly how many.I did ask him if he had ever hit 460 WHP on his dyno with the HKS turbo on pump gas? He said on pump gas no.HKS is no longer here and we don't sell that turbo anymore.

I am confused.
look at post 1. he says he has BBK
and compares it HKS.
thats where my original statement came from.
at this point I dont know what turbo he actually has. and honestly dont care.

my problem with Blouch and CBRD turbos has always been the STUPIDITY of keeping wheel sizes a secret. ind/ext specs should be on the website. or at least readily available on request..

thats fine- he accidentally posted the wrong description- and you responded based on that-

so to clarify-

the HKS evo X turbo and our BBX have nothing in common other than being a X turbo application

way different aero- way different flow sizes-

I'm sorry if you don't like how we do business--- luckily you have plenty of other choices-

cheers
