08' gsr manley 2.2L 6266 kelford stg2 28psi 93oct
I didn't want to share this until it was ran down the track to get a idea what its really doing. car went to the track last weekend and went 11.2 @ i believe 126.
Had some fueling issues with this car, so i kept it overly rich to be safe (high 10's). There should be alittle more in it (around 540 or so on 93). it performed well at the track though for what it was. the way the boost is mapped, it flys inbetween shifts.
Built Block - Manley 2.2L
Map 6266 turbo kit
ETS 3.5" MAF /w map idle/cruise
Darton Sleeved
Kelford stage 2 cams
Ported Head /w 1mm oversized valves
ETS FMIC 3.5 inch
ETS Intake
FIC 1100cc
BR double pumper (needs surge tank)

Any weight reduction done to this? If not that guy is a far better driver than I (not that its hard to do that lol).
I am a good 100whp higher and almost a full second slower haha.
Solid setup though, decent spool, top end is for sure safe.
X's need a surge tank stock, there fuel pickups blow....

Sounds spot on for power and trap. If you can contact the guy can you ask him to post up the slip please or pm it to me. I'd like to see what the 2.2 does from the 330 through the back half. Trying to figure out if a 2.2 but with a final drive is the setup I'd like to do in the future but there are not too many track slips to analyze.

easier said then done! im sure you'll agree.
no weight reduction that i know of. based on its power it made and its mods id say its stock weight (unless they remove seats for track but i wasn't told that). you made a lot of mistakes though. it takes a lot of practice.
some people have a hard time overcoming their nerves at the drag strip, so you're not only fighting with your nerves or shakey feet but, also it takes experience as well.
the more you try to run the better you will get and you will eventually feel comfortable and wont shake or have bad nerves at the track.
i used to shake so much i had a hard time even driving because the clutch foot would just shake.
the car does have an issue. we had to disable the one fuel pump. why does the X fuel system suck so much? why would mitsubishi do that? i notice the double pumpers run into alot of issues with the X where as they don't on the older evos.
ill try to get the slip for you. im curious on the rest of the slip myself. i didnt get much data on the car other then it managed 11.2 more then once and most all runs were in the mid/ low 11's.
im working on another 2.2L also with a ef4. the 2.2L is a good balance between displacements imo. you cant go wrong with it and it is good for the drag strip also.
a 2.2 with final drive would be a good combo for street and strip. you will have the ability to rev high safe but with the final drive you can really conserve your RPM's making the engine last longer then it normally would reving really high.
