Buschur bolt on's and Cosworth cams

I wanna thank David Buschur and the Buschur Racing crew. Also I wanna thank Doug at Doug's Dyno power in Las Vegas for a great tune!
MOD list includes...
BR True Dual Exhaust w/Maganflow Muffler
BR Test Pipe with Magnaflow Muffler
BR Race FMIC
BR Upper and Lower Intercooler Pipes
BR Boost Controller
BR Intake with MAF Pipe
Cosworth MX1 Cams
Before the tune yesterday I installed the cams. Called Doug and said swing by at 4. The Cams took me 3 hrs or so to put in. I drive up to the dyno and with any boost at all my A/F's show 17.5. After the tune boost spiked 24 and tappered down to 19. I told Doug I wasnt there for a huge #, just a safe tune. Doug did a great job tuning the car.
Final #'s were 342 whp and 354tq. The car feels good, I just wish I wouldn"t have drivin my IX the day before

Cams in 3 hours? Did you luck out on valve tappet specs or what?

Nope didnt even know about it... they looked like Volkswagen/Audi "lifters" which are hydraulic. So they are probably wrong then... oh well

I just searched for this, I think I am good, its quite. "IF" it gets loud then I will look into it. This is why us German car techs should work on Jap cars I guess

LOL, just pop the valve cover back off and take a look at your clearances per the manual.

I could but if there off, I gotta pull the cams right? Besides I don't have a factory manual. For my tq specs on the cams I called the Mitsubishi dealer down the street from me and they faxed over a diagram showing the cover, cam caps, balancer ECT...

Jeff, you're killing me bro! Search around, its posted all over the Internet and probably this forum.

Use feelers between the tapets and the round (non-lobe) side of the cam. .008" on the intake cam and .012" on the exhaust cam +/.001"

Should be .008" on the intake side, .080" would be a little much, lol.

Should probably use a 3-port boost solenoid and tune the Mivec better.
