I have an EF3 which was put on and tuned about a month ago...

However, I have an oil leak (have put in 2 catch cans since with nothing in them) that seems to be running through my intake/intercooler system which I know is from the turbo. Has anyone else experienced this with the EF3?
It was HUGE (I mean smoke everywhere! until my mech. took out the extra spring you get with the wastegate and switched the oil line from my previous FP setup with the one you get from MAP). Now it's a small leak but enough to dirty-up my MAF sensor and throw a lean CEL.
I read somewhere there is a 'cylinder head oil block-bolt' MAP provides???
Just asked my mech about this and I haven't heard back from him yet.

Don't ask if it's from my engine because it's definitely NOT, it's from the turbo setup...

Never heard of that problem with the ef3 to date. Mine is working fine and I actually just took off my downpipe to install the AMS widemouth. While off I checked out the wastegate flapper and turbine wheel. Everything look just fine no oil or even residue in there. Maybe something was installed wrong to begin with...?

Since putting the AMS dp in yesterday the car sounds so much better and gained some top end

I researched other dp's and decided AMS was the way to go with a bigger turbo. It's the closest design to stock but wider diameter and more flow. Honestly tho the stock dp and 02 housing wasn't too bad. I'd either go AMS, tomei, or stay stock. CP-e looks good too

Last night after I installed the AMS widemouth on less boost than the previous map. I'm happy with the results

Forgive me if I missed anything but are you pushing that much torque on a stock block and is it safe? I currently run EF3 (second EF3 bc the first EF3 failed due bad bearing) 440whp 360wtq 28psi 93pump.

its up to User discretion. Its well known that over 400 tq can be a lot for the rods to handle. I think it really boils down to the tune and what fuel you are using. I've been running around 400ftlbs for 8 months now no issues. I have done 120min of hard track time along with 1 trip to the drag strip and lots of spirited driving on the street without any issues.

I know a few people who have damaged they're engines at less than 340ftlbs so I think it also depends on how you drive. Those guys who damaged they're engines screwed up one way or another so be careful either way.

BUt that being said I never launch the car except for that one day at the drag stip. Most failures I know of happened on failed launches

Sounds like blow by from crank case pressure through the oil seals in the turbo which would lessen when you add the FP oil restricted line.

What size line are you running from valve cover to intake?

I ran a 12.3. I only had 2 runs to get the launch down. My reaction times weren't that admirable.

Yes stock cams

Changed my setup to this QTP connected to a AMS widemouth. Very impressed with the results. Gains throughout full powerband

Here's some more recent runs with the QTP cutout testpipe and AMS widemouth. Since installing these new parts I've been able to make more power on less boost. Before the new parts I would have to runs at least 30psi up top to hit 500hp. Now I can hit it with 27-28psi. The qtp is the way to go once you're running a bigger turbo IMO.
