Higher base pressure 1300's are easier to tune than 1650's at standard base pressure. Food for thought. The higher base pressure makes them open more slowly, actually making them act like a smaller injector at lower IPW's (idle and cruise), then they flow more with longer IPW. It's a win-win. I wouldn't call this unorthox. The two cars I have making over 850whp with a single set of 2000cc injectors are running somewhere between 55-60psi base pressure (I don't remember exactly where we set it). It gives us head room and helps them idle better.

"Easy mode" isn't really a thing when you're a true professional tuner. For the record, on ID's calculator the 1300's have plenty of room for this setup to make what it did. 60 psi base pressure, 30psi boost shows 81% IDC at 8k on E85.

Yep, more pressure means more dead time. Which means you have to actually log and tune latency values, and as you say the injectors will flow more so injector scaling will need to be established. TBH this is something that should (IMO) be done on any setup, but if your setup is pretty stockish the numbers you get from the injector mfg's are probably good enough to get you by. That's all I meant by easy mode. Pro tuners should get you from good enough to as good as it's gonna get. If you are straying far from stockish, by say raising base fuel pressure, then custom tuning the setup becomes a requirement.

I maxed my ID1300's at around mid 500's or so. That was with normal base pressure, OEM fuel lines, OEM FPR, OEM fuel rail, and a single 450.

I can see this setup doing 580 with higher base pressure. Are the fuel lines also upgraded?

Yup all the fuel lines were upgraded when the fuel cell was done and the rest of the fuel system was done.

I did run a bigger external fuel pump but just didn’t like the way the car performed either.

I’ll keep you guys posted on how much extra power the car makes when it gets retuned on the new motor. Like I said previously it was still recommended to stay with the 1300s so I’ll get a fresh set for the car.

Are you going bigger on the turbo with the built motor?

I went back and forth about that but I really like the way the 3076 hits. And the power the car makes is quite fine for me. Just enough for me to handle on a track and on the street messing around with people idc about being the fastest it’s always someone faster. I like to just have an all around nice fun car. I take it to the track, I take it to meets, I take it to shows, maybe it will go back to SEMA idk.

my real gripe is I haven’t been impressed with super high horsepower SST cars and with the trans not being 100% tunable it’s like what’s the point. And i don’t want to buy another set of clutch packs either so I’m good where everything is at.

Maybe my mind will change later and I would just run Moore’s EFR Kit.

Makes total logical sense. Good setup, just drive it and enjoy it!

yeah I’m wondering if I can hit 600 on the 3076, I probably could’ve gotten a new turbo perhaps but I saw a deal on some wheels and got those instead lol.

Is this a stock frame turbo with tubular manifold? Or a T3 setup?

ATP stock frame so it has the larger 1.06 vs the AMS stock frame which is the smaller of the two. I have the Full Race prostock manifold.

AMS uses a garrett stock frame just like ATP, they probably get it from ATP. Also, it's .73 and .94 A/R. The 1.06 is only available in non-stock frame turbine housing.

Yeah totally my bad on that I've been literally having similar convos either on here, fb, or in my PMs. But I would't surprised if it's all the same supplier.
I wonder what the highest on this turbo on a 4b11 has been, has me wondering since people are so interested in my car. Not in a cocky way to say that at all

So I totally lied to myself and decided to change the turbo. I relocated again for work so that took up my time and then COVID caused a few parts delay and then myself changing everything lol.

The block is being finished up and should be completed next week. I decided to go sleeved last minute.

I’ve also decided to go with a bigger turbo. Going with the GTX3576 with 4 inch cover. Aiming for 700 on e85. With the extra power going from my current 10 plate set up to a 12 plate set up.
