Wonder if he is thinking 580whp out of stock alum block is asking too much? I know that 580whp on the 4G63 stock iron block is not considered a safe WHP no.

It has nothing to do with the block. Just asking a lot out of the connecting rods.

I'm assuming this is a Gen 2 3076

And ID1300's. I question whether or not that is even really possible considering the volume required with E85. Plus, 2x Walboro 450's?

I thought the 4B11 required a Darton sleeve kit to transform the block into a semi-closed deck vs open deck that it is as stock

AFAIK the 4b11t is a semi closed deck stock.

First thing that popped up on a google search:

Yeah, im sure thats what Mitsu considers it but my point is this: Pushing 580 whp w/out the Darton sleeve kit & other supporting components may not be the best idea?

There are tons of 4b11's making 600+ on a stock block that are still running, it comes down to the tune and torque levels. My car has been making 500+ for about 70-80k miles.

well it's very much possible as those are the injectors that I'm running. I currently run two 450s, due to my fueling set up being a little unique since I have a fuel cell. But it's one in tank and one in the surge tank, one just drives the fuel to the cell. I am currently doing a build on the car because I want to make more power on it and will probably do a try double pump set up in the surge tank, if we deem it necessary. Moore nor myself need to lie or tweak numbers. Chris has tuned other 4b11's that have made more power than my car on a stock block and similar modifications outside of the turbo.

Well, that is great to hear regarding the reliability. I was just asking the question

Excellent to hear you have many miles under that level of WHP load

Much respect!

Oh no worries I was just having conservation. But yeah the power levels I’m at are pretty common nowadays on that motor. I wish the forums were more active, I hopped back on here with COVID boredom and wanted to document things as I’m about to build the motor.
