2011 Evo X - Full Build - Dyno

Hi Everyone,

I am the original owner of a 2011 Evo X GSR. I've gone through multiple iterations of mods including FBO, upgraded turbo/manifold, etc. Last year, at 60k miles, I started experiencing smoking from my exhaust at startup/idle. After compression and leak-down testing, the engine clearly needed some attention and I decided to go all-in on a full build.

I had Moore Automotive in Marshall, Virginia handle the build and tune (Thanks Paul & Chris). The machine work was handled by AR Fabrication in Virginia. The build was completed last month

Below are the build details and dyno graph.

Engine Build - Bottom End:
  • 2.0L Darton sleeved block
  • Wiseco 86mm pistons
  • Manley Turbo Tuff I-Beam rods
  • ACL Race rod bearings
  • ACL Race main bearings
  • ARP main studs
  • Fluidampr crank pulley
  • Piston coatings (Calico - tops & sides)
  • Bearing coatings (Calico)
Engine Build - Head:
  • GSC 650HP+ valve train package (valves, seals, guides)
  • GSC S2 cams
  • GSC valve springs
  • ARP head studs 625+
  • Cometic head gasket .044" 88mm
  • Magnus MIVEC delete cam gear (exhaust)
Turbo & Intake:
  • ETS G30-770 turbo kit w/ 4" intake
  • ETS turbo blanket
Fuel System:
  • Injector Dynamics 1300-XDS injectors
  • DeatschWerks DW300 fuel pump
  • Torque Solutions fuel pump holder
Oil System:
  • MAP oil cooler kit
  • MAP catch can w/ drain kit
  • OEM oil pump & chain
Clutch/Drivetrain:
  • Exedy twin disc cerametallic

Pretty happy with the performance right now. If I get bored, I'd do flex fuel next which would probably yield another 75whp+ and 50wtq on this turbo setup or more.

Yup, stock transmission. Still getting used to the car and didn't really question where I'm reving it out to based on where it's making power/being built.

Yeah, it totally rips. I was trying to find a balance between responsiveness and decent power. I'm coming from a Borg Warner 7163.

This is on 93!? Great numbers, and fantastic build. E85 is a game changer, people forget that 30% more fuel means MORE exhaust = faster boost!
You will make another 100whp easily!

Post some vids of this beast in action; street, strip, dyno, etc!

Yessir, this is on 93. I didn't want to necessarily depend on E85 being in New Jersey and there aren't a ton of places to get it conveniently. However, it's hard to not want flex fuel. I'll post some videos soon - probably should get a camera setup.
