08 Evo X full motor build

After some research the list below is what i have compiled to rebuild my 4B11T. i dont have access to E85, so this will be a 91, or 93 octane build, maybe do a 110LL tune. I'm going to use the car for autocross, and looking for critiques, opinions, and comments on what i need to add or change to this build list before I pull the trigger. I also need a turbo and have no idea what would work best for this.

First off, what are you power goals, or what size turbo are you looking to run (really still based on power goals)? The EvoX spools turbo's very well with the stock stroke crank, and going to a stroker seriously limits the RPM you should be spinning. As well as the 94mm crank having a terrible rod ratio and it piulls the piston out of the bottom of the sleeve.

Second, I generally avoid Manley products. Especially the rods, they are heavy for what you get. And you're going to need to add sleeving the block to the list.

Yea, need your power goals and also how you plan on using the car (Street, Track, Drag).

Go full GSC. Ferrera has QC issues.

No need for the AMS cam cap unless you messed your OEM one up.

Mishimoto is crap. If you need to upgrade your oil cooler, MAP makes a nice kit with Setrab cooler.

Curios what QC issue you've seen? All my heads get done with HeadGames and Dave uses Ferrea valves with no issues. I choose Kiggly or GSC spring kits though as I don't like dual springs, much prefer beehive or conical.

I originally had Ferrea valves down as what I wanted to use but multiple machine shops told me they have seen issues with them and to go with GSC. I dunno, maybe they all had GSC accounts? hahah

Huh. Idk, thats odd. Obviously nothing wrong with GSC either; I've used valves from both both, and I know Headgames sells/uses both as well. GSC is actually a bit less $ on valves too.
