Any body download and install this update to their car yet? Is their any difference with the new version?

That's funny... I was just going to post this info

Gracenote is the CDDB databse that allows the NAV system to identify the Artist/Album/song name.

 

I have. It is suppose to add additional info for artist/song titles. Only my itune songs that i burned to disc wouldn't show up. I'm unable to see how much different it is though as i've used up my available space and would have to delete some to try and put in anything new.

 

I think that answered my next question. I was hoping burned music could be recognized as well. It would take hours to type it all in the navi on the touch screen.

 

My Nav unit came with 0663-0000 so it looks like this update is not needed

 

I can't get any cd names to show up... I have tried new and old???????

 

What I don't understand is that I can buy two new release cds and gracenote will recognize one cd and not the other. I do have the latest version of the software. Can anybody explain that?

 

Not real sure...some of mine will show up and other will not. Big swing and a miss from Mitsubishi.

 

My song titles show up on all CDs burnt using iTunes.

 

What about RDS?

 

maybe it could detect my new David Archuleta Christmas cd...
