Is there a way to up/downgrade, since my 30.97 seems all but forgotten...and any info on map updates?...I found out TDK disks apparently don't even work for music, tho sony does just fyi. I saw some people downgraded, but I don't know how or what that will do to the navi...

 

So did the MR compatibility ever come out? I tried this a month ago and it didn't work with the MR. I believe it's 30.97.

 

I don't think so . I'd love to get some for mine so I could use my AUX a bit more.

Sounds like it. I'm half way tempted to start hacking it myself. I just don't have the time. I think it'd be great to see if we could put some form of linux on there. I wonder how many people would even be interested in it.

 

I think many would b interested.. I mean 32 pages of posts!?! I read every post very sad that it ended. I have some friends that I'm going to talk 2 about this.. All college seniors so they might b very interested in such a task

but that's all wishful thinking at best...

If you need anyone to help you along just lemmie know. I have an 08 MR with the nav system and i've decrypted my drive before so I can get to the files pretty easily.

Currently woking on getting the MMCS I bought off ebay up and running , with a socketed flash so I can recover from (hopefully) anything.
