How do you pair your BT phone with the bluetooth

Just wondering if anyone knows the procedure to pair the phone. I did not get a manual for the factory BT. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I cant really remember but if noone post up before tonight I willl look in my manuel and help you out.

but in the mean time if you push the blue-tooth button and dont say anything. it will give you a list of options. I think "pair a phone" is one of the options. if you do that.

that would be great. I actually found it in the manual for the car. But it says you can only do it through the voice command.

I would have thought, they would let you somehow do it through the nav screen....that would suck if you cant. I will try hitting that little phone icon on the bottom of my screen and wait to see if anything happens.

Thanks for your help.

Yup, he got it right. Make sure you have your phone's Bluetooth set to on or discover mode. Just push the talk button on the steering wheel and follow prompts. The salesman actually did it for me right before I took off in my new car, but I remember it was pretty easy.

you are not going to be able to pair a phone until you can get the steering wheel controls. I just looked in the book(and even went out and played with my car to be sure) and the only way to do it is through the steering wheels controls

You can get the BT pieces (which includes the deal on the wheel, the audio controls on the wheel and the piece to move the ayc control to the console).

I just had it installed in my car. Certainly glad I didn't do it myself.

The BT works great except I haven't found a way to transfer my phonebook. I think saying every one of my contacts and their number is going to get very tiresome.

i dont think you understood my question. I have all the pieces to the BT kit, except the steering wheel controls. I will only have those until after the MR steering wheel becomes available as a part.

You don't need the MR wheel to install everything? Did you not get the buttons and wiring harness?

Ah, you don't want to cut the wheel.

Just cut it man

Honestly you can't tell unless you start fine-tooth-combing it...

Is there even going to be a difference between an MR steering wheel vs the GSR.

Why not just get the part number off a GTS lancer for that one plastic piece?
