Scosche dash kit
How's the quality? I read in another thread
What is that piece between in front of your hazards?

I'm getting there but this is still a work-in-progress. I got a pic the other night and sorry that the trim ring isn't shown that well. I think I'm going to have it painted the same color as the long piece across the dash. I got a different head unit, but this is the same car as in the picture above. Metra FTL.

Does the wiring harness allow you to use it w/ the factory amp? I remember a few months ago that it didn't and someone on here wrote how to https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=373383.

For those who have after market nav on SSS package, did you guys replace the amp? if you did, which one is recommended?
It doesn't turn on the amp. I have been looking around to find one that can turn on and so far i can only find this one http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=11020. but it's not even out yet.

I have the one in the first picture with the change tray type thing. It fits fairly well. But I would rather have a double-din av unit for this car.
I have a single-din Eclipse avn7000 with the 7" screen from my old MS3. If you buy this kit you will have trouble seeing the screen on sunny days since (on my deck anyway) the Top Overhang reduces your tilt angle which doesnt help. Since im not often viewing the screen it doesnt bother me.
I got it for a low price with harness so i would be worried about the quality for that price but it rattles a bit.

lambtron - which dash bezel is that? the scosche? metra? or jdm?
I have been reading up on this to figure out what I am going to do with my system, I have seen someone on the forums here replace their radio and still have ALL RF audio including sub working. What he did was disconnect the brain of the radio from the dash bezel and kept it behind the dash. I read something to the fact that the remote turn on wire was in the radio so this was the only option to date

The dash kit that lambtron has looks like the Scosche. I have the same kit in mine.
I would recommend replacing the amp. The factory amp is not all that great and is a pain to turn on without the factory HU due to it being turned on by the CAN system. If you want to stick to one amp, you will need to look at a five channel. Do you plan on keeping the factory speakers or upgrading them? I personally do not like the RF system that are in the cars, it leaves a lot to be desired on SQ.

lol, I was trying to reply to 2 people and forgot to quote the other person that was asking about what type of amp.
I personally always use more than one amp. But if someone has space constraints then one amp might be the only option. There really aren't that many good 5 channels anymore. US Amps still makes one, but it is their AX series so might be out of others price range.
