^ U seem like the perfect candidate. Give it a shot.

I would do it, but I'm not running the Fosgate stock amp kit.

Yes, it does work... The sub is controlled using the rear outs on the head unit.

The MITO-2 allows you to run the whole RF system (minus the sub punch option).

I think this is the kit that will finally allow you to use your stock RF system w/ an Aftermarket Radio.

check it out..

So if i buy one of those fancy smansy Pioneer navigation radios, i will have to buy this too to work with my Fosgate system??

Yep. This is the part that signals the amplifier through the CAN bus to turn on.

This might be the perfect solution for me!

I just want bass really, and want to add a W6. the inside speakers sound just fine to me minus the whole "after 10 seconds of bass head unit decides to cut base to save speakers" so I would assume by replacing the stock head unit, and getting rid of that stupid limiter thing and keeping the stock amp/speakers and WOULD ASSUME THERE WOULD BE A DECENT BUMP IN SOUND QUALITY THIS WAY AS WELL?

also, I can add my W6 at any time and be good to go!

My only other question is, if I buy a new headunit, it already has an amp, and if theres no way to shut that amp off, how do I hook it to this device, and not double amp my sound and blow something?

If you're referring to the MITO-02, from what I've read (link), you won't be using your HU's powered speaker outputs, and instead you'll plug in your aftermarket HU's front & rear RCA-outs to the MITO.

So just be sure to get a new head-unit with both front and rear RCA outputs, and then isolate and wrap-up the ends of the HU's speaker outputs (or turn off the internal amp, if it's an option on the HU).

I just swapped the mentra kit for the JDM one. PLEASE please don't waste your money on the POS mentra one. It fits like crap, the color doesn't match and mine acutally bowed in the top-center after a year. Save your money and get the JDM kit. I have not seen the scorcsh in person, but cheaper is not always better. See it before you order it!

I love the headunit also, it made my rockford fosgate system sound much better, and i love the ipod controls, bluetooth, and music videos while driving..lol

Hey Poof, is your screen motorized?

If so, can you take a picture to see if it clears the bottom edge nicely when activated, revealing the CD insert.

thx!
