Does the hack for the dvd in motion fix this? Right now I find the navigation completely useless if that is the case. If I have to stop then why don't I just ask?

Uh.. not in mine, I can enter an address no problem, maybe mine has a glitch but....

Anyway most OEM Navi's have that feature it prevents them from being sued later. My Toyota is the same way. The only OEM I haven't seen like that is the OEM Benz navi, I guess if you are spening 100k on a car you dang well better be able to enter an address whenever you want to :-)

wow... the new MMCS software is a real butthead then. I change addresses on the fly on mine without issue. But I've got an old enough version that the dvd-in-motion patch works.

Update. I took it back to the dealer and I'm able to do what I need, but the maps are old. I also went into a stereo shop and they said there is some $300 part that they can put on it that will eliminate the dvd and Aux video issue. I checked cause I am interested in running a boost gauge on the monitor once I get my car tuned.

I didn't say that I was paying that much, I was just relaying that is what I found out.

But what is a better way to do it though?
