After Market Navigation for 2012 Outlander Sport?

I am considering purchasing a 2012 Outlander Sport SE (RVR here in canada) on tuesday, but before I do, I want to make sure that I can easily replace the stock stereo unit with a Navigation system that will tie into the stering wheel controls and do it on a budget.

Futureshop/Bestbuy quoted me about $1500 for a Kenwood, installed with all the harneses and such, but this is pushing it....

My question:
1. I have seen some cheap chinese after market navigation systems for around $400 that "look" good. Does anybody know anything about them?

2. Is it possible for me to just go to the Mitsubishi Dealership and order and install a GT versions Navigation kit?

3. Any other options people are aware of?

Thanks for your help.

MMCS (the OEM Nav Unit) is stupid expensive. You're looking at over $1k just in parts.

For aftermarket, they DO make a kit for the RVR to tie in the steering wheel controls. The thread in this section is called "Aftermarket Radio Question" There are only 2 pages in this section, check around a bit for the answers you're looking for.

This may be of use to you as well: http://www.mitsu-wiki.com/wiki/Secon..._Stereo_Wiring
Just double check the Outlander vs. RVR differences.

Steering wheel controls, try the AXIS controller. Used it in my 2008 and 2011 evo. We'll use it in my wife's 2011 OS when she gets her new equipment.
