Question AUX Port - GSR SSS

Ok, so last night I went out and bought a 2 different cables for my aux port and neither of them worked.

I bought the dynex cable:

this didn't work, so i ran back into the store and grabbed the iSimple cable and taht didn't work either. My reasoning behind this was that the brass part of the cable that slips around the aux port was two big and didn't fit inside that plastic bezel the aux ports sit in. and this iSimple cable looked like like they were slimmer and would fit, but they didn't... LOL

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

I bought a plain one from walmart, hid the wires as best I could, and it works like a charm and great sound quality. I think it was $3-$4.

Dynex will not work. I had the same issue. It was too wide around the base.

I have a Dynex and it works fine. Like someone else said you need to push and hold the 'AUX' side of the button until you hear a *beep* and the display reads 'AUX.'

What isnt working? You are buying the correct cables.

It doesnt auto detect anything... not sure if you knew this. You have to hold the CD/MP3 button in for a couple seconds till it flips to aux.

well, took all that crap back for the $2 radio shack cables and it works fine.

the issue was that the cables i was using wouldn't stay in the jacks, they would just fall out, the bronze piece that slips around the port would not slip inbetween the pastic bezel that goes around the two jacks.
