I dont have any sub or sub box. And my mdf panel in the trunk likes to slide around. The seat backing is broken so I cant mount it to that. Under the seat might not be good because it will slide around. Its a smaller 4 ch amp so.

where do u guys mount ur ****? i have crossovers to that need to be mounted.

ya i was thinkin of my back seat, lol no relation. but on urs make sure u remove ur front seat if u drill so u can make sure u don't drill through anything that might be underneath the carpet, ie. wire. i wouldn't recomend velcro but would prolly hold it till the glue melts and a quick stop/take off or wreck sends it flyin, lol. plus i've seen tons of amp internals all messed up (caps/resistors ect...) bouncin around in them) from vibrations and being bounced around.

 

If you decide to go under the seat you can do this.

Pull back the carpeting, get a piece of wood (not too thick) slightly bigger than the amp and use superlock velcro (2 strips on each side should be enough) and velco the wood to the floor. Then pull the carpet back over the wood and replace it. Finally, place the amp on the board and use some short screws and secure the amp to the board.

The reason I said use the velcro just in case you want to remove it.

That is perfect. Im doing that tomorrow. I figure a thin piece of mdf... not too thin.

I allready installed everything. I put my amp in the trunk and screwed it down to that mdf sheet over the spare. Its stupid. I have a sub in a small closed box that im putting in tomorrow, so i have to figure out something. It does NOT look clean at all. Tomorrow, i am relocating 2 amps to underneath the seats. I will do focal arts idea.

BTW. My speakers are making a fuzzzy noise. (Called white noise). I have a feeling i need to re do my grounds.

In order to take out the seats, 3 of the bolts look ez. One bolt it under the center console i think??? how dou get the center console off?

 

Seats are quite easy, it's 4 bolts (I think 14mm), but nothing under the console. Just make sure your battery is disconnected when you disconnect the airbag wiring harness under the seat.

If you have to take the center console out, it's (2) 10mm bolts in the bottom of the armrest console area.

damn i forgot to take pics. Stupid me. I actually wanted to write a tutorial. lol. I spent 10 hours on this stereo (probably only a 5 hour job but i make everything take longer for some reason). I took out the seats and the armrest console, and the back seat cusion (and of course the side trims, kick panels, and seatbelt covers. I have never seen an easier car to disassemble. I wish I had done things differently. The install came out allright. (besides the head unit being grounded to a bolt and some of the wires bypassing the harness and being but connected dirrectly (stupid xearo). Next time instead of an allright install, I will do an axcewllent install.

I sold my acura integra =( I miss that slow ****er. =) so slow compared to evo, but it sounded much better. Evo doesnt really sound that mean. =) STi sounds mean. But I guess at least I can hear my stereo. Also, my greddy SP1 exhaust on my teggy didnt have a baffle tube inside.

 

Always do excellent installs! Its a $35k car, not an integra.

I just bought the garmin nuvi 880 (500$) and the Pioneer AVH-P5000DVD in dash single din player (500$).

Mounting depth of the head unit will be 6.2". Anyone have any trouble installing this or a similar product? I know my current head unit just about doesnt make it. Its a kenwood excellon. Duno what its hitting. A bracket in the back i thnk
