Eclipse AVN72E
Eclipse AVN72E
Has anyone installed this unit: Eclipse AVN726E?
I'm looking to find out if the steering wheel controls will work.
According to Eclipse, the unit supports steering wheel controls. So the question is whether the Evo X steering remote is "voltage detection type":

^ They are refering to PAC steering wheel control remotes. They use voltage increases / decreases detection.
Make sure the PAC module you are buying is compatible with the head unit and the head unit has a remote input jack at the back.
If you cant find anything send them a email and they can offer you some advice.

I could be wrong but the way I understand it was that no module is necessary with this unit. It has the compatiblity built-in.
Crutchfield also sepcifically says that the PAC module will not work with the AVN726E. I looked it up on the PAC website and they also do not show any module for this unit.

^ O ok. I think it would just plug straight into the OEM steering wheel harness and be controlled from the steering wheel if your vechile uses voltage detection, eliminating the need for the PAC module.
Find out if it is compatible with the EVO X and if you need any extra adapters.
