Convert Fastkey to Standard Key
the bigger issue with what the OP has posted is they want a remote start.
Remote start + stick shift = nono.
In order to get remote start to work on the X if you REALLY must do this, you're going to have to hard wire a key into the car to get around the immobilizer.

my friend has a manual gearbox w/ remote starter and it works perfectly fine
also u dont need a key hole to open the trunk if u dont have fast key, u just press the trunk button on ur key and it opens, or u can always pull the lever next to the gas cap lever

I didn't say you CAN'T use a remote start but that you shouldn't.
If you leave the car in gear and try and remote start... the car could try and jump... into a wall or another car.
It's just a bad idea.

ok well here's my input, it may not be precise, but i'll try... ok so the fast key if i under stand correctly doesn't exactly use a immobilizer key, well because the key you put in doesn't have a chip in it...duh lol anyway and so you won't need to have a key somewhere in your dash, for a manual remote start. it is possible to bypass the safety procedure of putting the lutch down, there are people who install them, the thing is, you have to understand that you are aware of the danger as posted above, so that the installer is not liable...so.. i haven't seen it done either, but if you want to put a remote start system on your car, with the fastkey, it should be possible, the only problem is finding a way to trick the fastkey system into allowing the car to start without the remote nearby...anywho i'd say depending on where you live, you don't really need it..? but if you want it, you'll be the first... GOOD LUCK!!
edit: also i know that most cars have the immobilizer key standard now, so there is a bypass for that too, it's called an immobilizer key bypass kit, google it, it requires you to have a key in the car at all times... that would be a problem...so once again...good luck!

Even the FASTkey-enabled Evos use an immobilizer chip. It's in the key fob itself, instead of embedded in the key. That's why if your FASTkey's battery dies, you need to pull out the key, insert it backwards back into the fob, and use that assembly to start the car. The metal key alone is not enough to start the car.
