I've had my MR for over a year now. Three differnt phones, all with the same problem. Sometimes it will be a week between pairings, other times it will last for months. I am planning on tearing out the entire NAV/tech package in another month or so.

I had this problem with my 2 month old MR.

I had read elsewhere here that you need to open a case with Johnson controls before the dealer will even look at anything. So I called JC and they were very friendly, gave me a case number and said I needed to go to the dealer but they would take care of me.

I went to Riverton Mitsubishi in Sandy Utah (worst Mitsu dealer EVER) they had my car for a day and then proceeded to tell me I am doing something wrong and it is my fault the car keeps forgetting my phone.

So I went to Ken Garff Mitsubishi in Salt Lake City, they had my car for about 2 hrs and said they would order a new bluetooth unit which would take a week.

After getting the new unit installed I paired my phone in the parking lot with the service guy standing next to me. That was 5 months ago and I have not had to re-pair my phone since then.

I suggest you go to your dealer and insist on getting the bluetooth unit replaced.
I believe 90% of the pairing problems people are having are due to car issues not phone issues.

Well, it took 2 months, but the car decided to forget my phone again. Taking it back to the dealer this week.

I am still waiting for the dealership to get the parts in so I can get it fixed under warranty.

I had this problem with my 09 Lancer GTS, and now have it with my Evo. It's totally random. It'll stay in there for two months, or a day sometimes. I don't have an iPhone either. I've always used windows mobile phones. My last phone had the issue in my GTS and so did my new phone. And I still have the same issue with the Evo.

After a random amount of time, the bluetooth pair just disappears out of the car, but not the phone. Sucks because it takes several minutes to pair the phone, and the car MUST be stopped for it to work.

I am just about to start a campaign getting angry at Mitsu for all the little things the dealer refuses to fix. I shall be mentioning all these little things to them.

I deleted all the phones and then repaired (with a new name) and so far, knock on wood, it's out of goldfish mode.
