Mounting Depth for door speakers?

I did a search but couldn't find anything

Does anyone know what the maximum mounting depth is for the Evo X door speakers (rockford system)?

The speaker I plan on buying has a mounting depth of 2 3/4 inches. Crutchfield has speakers with a mounting depth of 2 9/16 inches that can fit the Evo X. Will I be able to get away with the extra 3/16ths of an inch?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

You will need about 5/8" to 3/4" to fit those speakers. I made some 3/4" MDF rings to fit some Focals that deep.

Thanks!!! Any idea where I can purchase the MDF rings? I'm taking a gamble and getting some Cadence speakers. The price is right and I didn't want to spend too much $$$. They also seemed to be getting good reviews.

I have a shop, so I order from a company called AAMP of America (not sure if they sell to the retail public or not). They either outsource or produce the rings in house with a cnc. Back in the days before this service I've made plenty of rings by hand and a jigsaw.
