Speaker sizes in EVO X?

Hi, I have the 9 speaker system in my EVO X. Does anyone know the speaker sizes in the car? I was hoping the front door speakers are 6.5". I have a set of Rockford components im removing from my other vehicle and will use them if they fit. Also, whats the max. speaker depth for the front door speakers.

Thanks.

i have a similar question. is the sound package worth it? How is the base model sound system? Is the money better spent on something aftermarket? I don't have huge requirements on a system, but i highly value a good clear sound.

I have the base non-Fosgate stereo, and it's actually not too bad.

It's not the loudest, and definitely not the best sounding stereo in the world.. but after adjusting the EQ and DSP to a fairly flat sound, I'm still surprised at how acceptable it sounds - at least compared to other factory stereos I've heard.

For reference, in my last car I was running Focal Polyglass coaxials at 50 watts RMS from an Alpine CDA-9835 with a Fi SSD 12" sub at 600WRMS, and that sounded halfway decent for a daily driver.

I've still got a nasty jones to change out the base stereo and speakers to a lightweight system (all neodymium drivers & small digital amps).. but honestly, I could easily live with just the plain stock stereo.

If you're seriously considering an aftermarket system as an eventual upgrade, just get the cheap non-RF stereo.. that way you won't have the hassle of dealing with the factory amps.

Kappas will probably be a little clearer than the stock speakers or comparable to the RF speakers, if driven by an aftermarket head unit or amp.. and if they're separate woofer and tweeter.

If they're just being driven by any of the stock HU's, it might actually sound worse.
