Gsr removing blank button

Hello. I want to mount a switch in my gsr, over to the left of the steering wheel. To do so, I need to remove the blank button, beside the asc control.

I feel like a moron, but before I claw up anymore of my dash, how do I do this? Does it pry off, or do I need to find a clip on the backside or something?

Thanks!

take off the entire black plastic that surrounds the knee airbag by unscrewing 2 screws on either side ...once the plastic is off its clear what you need to do.

good luck.

Oh.

That makes far too much sense.

I thank you kindly.

You can also slip something thin in below the switch and pop it out (think shim or feeler gauge). Be careful to not mar the surrounding plastic.
