3 buttons in center console (2 blanks and AWC)

2011 Ralliart

On the center console is the AWC button along with two others that are just blank buttons. MY wife pushed one of them and it fell through, looks like the previous owner spilled something and had to pop up the plastic with the buttons (yeah awesome). So I super glued the broken tab to fix it. I noticed two of the buttons are wired, the third button with AWC, but the first is blank, but has wiring and a harness connected. I assume it's disabled somewhere, but any idea what normally goes in the first button spot?

My guess is that it could be the European models that have an ability turn the leading headlights around corners option and a button there to turn it off.

In European cars they have an option where the HIDs angle when you turn the steering wheel for corners. This is a safety feature because European areas have windy roads. I could be pulling this out of my ***, but I know the Euo models do have a button to turn that off somewhere.

Why it would have the wiring in our USDM car? No idea.

Headlight leveling roller switch for HID can go there, as well. Plus, the same panels are used for all lancers, so it is dependant on features and button location of that particular car.

Thanks, didn't find much info elsewhere. Wonder why it has the harness and wiring in tact.

I've got the HID roller switch just to the left of the ASC button next to the wheel.

I thought the blanks were where the heated seats (option) switch goes...

See also a how-to discussion to convert that button panel to a small tray (for FAST Key) by moving the AWC switch on the dash (by the door)...

the seat warmers are just south of the 3 button area. pretty much right up against the arm rest.

You are correct, I was thinking he said ASC, not AWC, and somehow my brain interpreted center console as intsrument panel.

Other base lancer models also have little coin pockets there, iirc

Yeah, the seat warmers are just below the arm rest. I have Blank, Blank, AWC just below the shifter. Traction control just to the left of steering wheel. I found on other forums people stating it's for the lights on the Euro models/non-HID.
