Installed OEM navi : now I got problems..

I've just installed the oem Navi into my 08 GSR. Followed the instructions posted on this forum. Went without a flaw, did it within an hour. The navi works perfectly.

However, I went for a drive after, and What the Hell? My onboard computer says I have a problem with my airbags and need to get it serviced. To add to that, the ASC stays off, There's no way of turning it on, I can't either choose tarmac, gravel, or snow, I can't access the traction control features. Even worse, I can't even control my fan/temperature anymore. The knobs are dead.

So, I calm down, turn off the car, and when I turn it back on, What the Hell again! The LCD tells me I need to have the alignment checked...

I'm just afraid to turn the car on back again, and see another warning.
Can anyone help please? Don't know what's going on. Yes I've tried disconnecting the battery, tried with my old radio system back on, doubled-checked the cables, doesn't work.

Maybe check to see if you blew a fuse somewhere??

Unrelated, but I never knew the multi-screen could monitor the car's alignment.. that's kinda neat.

It's not the navi that's saying my alignment is off, it's the system computer through the console lcd.

Ya, that's what I meant by the multi-screen.. guess the correct name for that LCD is "Multi-function Information Display" or MID, lol.

Also, about checking for blown fuses, they are in 2 locations..

Other than that, I would just triple-check every single wire and connection and make sure everything is correct and solid, especially your grounds. Also, make sure you didn't damage or disconnect any other nearby wires during the installation.

Good luck!

That's not for telling you your alignment is off FYI - it means there are drivetrain problems.

Obviously not related here, since obviously something electrical is borked, but FYI.

Is the emergency light plug connected? did you short something when removing the stock headunit. The stock headunit also has a little harness that connects to the chassis around the airbag/seatbelt light as well.

Well, fixed it. There was a loose wire from a previous power audio system. The guy just cut the wire without taping it, and it must've touched something when I installed the navi. It made a fuse blow. The mitsu guy just replaced the fuse and reset the system warnings with his computer. All fine now.
