Looks like you need to wire the two larger gauge wires it into the positive and negative terminal of the wiring harness for power, and the three smaller gauge wires splice into the aux ports from the radio.

*Edit: it says it comes with a manual

How do i know where the aux ports are? What pins go where in the stereo harness plug?

^ Do you have Aux audio inputs right now in the Evo? under the climate controls is there a 2 or 3 audio inputs? (Yellow, Red, and White). Just trace those wires up to the wiring harness.

If not you will need to find a diagram of the wiring harness plug either provided by the manual or by someone on here that has pulled the radio out and done the same thing. Try using search in the EvoX , Ralliart, and Lancer forums.

Even if you don't have the factory RCA inputs, the connector is still present behind the trim panel.

If you remove the radio, you can reach down behind the cubby hole under your HVC controls. The factory wire harness is "plugged in" to a plastic molding on the back side of the cubby hole.

The easiest way to get any wiring done is to remove the trim piece with the cubby hole. Remove the shifter bezel and then you should be able to remove the cubby piece.

Good luck!

(On a side note, anyone who's interested in installing an AUX input can simply purchase an OEM RCA connector and connect it to the existing harness as described above. You can then route the wires as you wish - through the glovebox, under the console into the armrest storage, etc.)

Sounds like you have a signal noise coming from the alternator. Try find a new power source or try ground the ground directly to the car.
