I bought the JDM kit--and have been searching and having trouble finding a Single DIN pocket (I don't want gauges) under my radio. I have been using a Double DIN but would like to replace it soon with a Single DIN radio--how can I get a pocket that will match up with the stock brackets and JDM kit?

Found this, but no idea if the holes match up with the Evolution X's bracket... ARGH!

 

I've found they are normally fairly generic. I took one from an EVO to a WRX to STI, and it fit all of them. The edges don't always look like a perfect fit at the front, but it will work.

 

I'm kind of assuming since a single din is the same size on different cars a pocket that fits in a single din slot will fit in most cars.

 

I bought a Metra 98-8999. It listed a ton of cars, but looks like it has bolt brackets for Mitsubishi (I'm assuming since it supports tons of Mitsus). I'll keep the thread updated with info after I receive and try installing this part.

98-8999 works great. If anyone is searching, this is the one to get! It sticks out just a tad, but you have to kind of tweak and adjust after installing it.

 

I'll trade you my scosche (it's single or double) for your JDM kit + cash.
