fitting subs in small trunk

I have two JL 13.5 W3s, 3 amps, and a cap to fit in the trunk. I was trying to figure out how to make it all fit, and still be able to access the washer fluid and battery. I might have to relocate the cap and spout on the fluid bottle and just block the battery. I still don't see how it will fit. Oh yeah each sub needs 1.5 cubic feet for a sealed inclosure.

run a single 15w3 (if that is the actual sub) in a portad enclosure. You will get @ 3db from the ported and not have to worry about doubling the basket displacement, and trying to stuff the trunk. Sell the other sub, and it will cover all your materials plus some!

This is what is going in the car:

Alpine d106 DVD head unit
CDT 6.5 anniversary HD series 200 watt RMS with extra imaging tweeters
2 Alpine PDX F4 400 watt amp
PAC TR7
Soundstream 20 farad cap
Dynamat dyanliner .5 in 12 sq. ft.
9 sheet pack of dynamite LOL just leaving this

Swapping out of current car (civic) into evo:
Alpine PDX 1.1 1000 watt amp
2 JL audio 13.5 in W3

also have BC coil overs and 19 X 9.5 TE37s with 265/35-19 Bridgestone re11 tires that need to be installed/mounted

Not sure if the 200 watt RMS is one or two speakers… I guess I can send one back when I get the manual. I have been waiting years for an evo and just got one today. Very Hyped.

my bad- thought you had 15" from the first post- read it wrong!! I would still run one 13 in a ported on the pdx 1000/1- I am currently running a single 12w7 with the pdx 1000/1, and it can hurt.

poly fill... If you're worried about space, remember 1 lb of poly-fill = cubic foot of airspace. this needs to be done in moderation, you're really only get about 20 - 30 % of the airspace you need, but I've found in the installs I've had to use it, it worked great. but the table also turns if you try to use too much, it swaps over and begins to take up airspace...

Wow, that's gonna be a tight squeeze and prolly next to impossible to install everything while still keeping access to the washer fluid reservoir, battery and ayc reservoir.. nice setup, though.

I'd say maybe yank the plastic, carpeting and spare tire outta the trunk.. stick one sub on the left-hand side, the other in the spare tire well, try putting one amp to the left of the battery, one amp under the front seat, and maybe see if you can squeeze the capacitor and any crossovers either underneath or behind the ayc reservoir, or maybe under the passenger seat.

Might have to build up a couple custom fiberglass enclosures for the subs, if you want them both to fit and/or look halfway decent.

Either that, or just ditch the rear seats and put everything there =)

Thanks.
I changed it up a bit. For the cost of a fiberglass enclosure I can get a 13.5 W6 and just stick it in a wooden box, and still save money. I can also try to sell the 2 W3s. It may not be quite as loud, but the W6 has the best sound quality of any sub, supposedly better than but not as loud as the W7.

With the open trunk I think I will be satisfied by the amount of bass that reaches me.
