Deck reccomendations for 08 Evo X

hi all

is there any deck you guys can recommend to replace my stock unit.

something relatively inexpensive that:

-has bluetooth to pair with my iphone 4 for: hands free cell calls and playing music
-i don't need gps really,
-i am fine with reusing my stock speakers.

anything you can recommend that would be an easy install and has the above functionality ?

thanks in advance
Jason

Pioneer 1020?

Is it that? I think nothing fits the original dash.

Honestly, it really boils down to what you want. Do you want a double din or single din? Do you want to play cds? Do you play off of an iPod / iPhone the most? Detachable face matter? How much are you into audio tuning? Any more info you could give would be helpful in finding you a deck.

^^^ this. we need a lot more information in order to be able to help you. there are MANY choices out there so the only way to choose is to decide what you want and then take it from there.

I don't recommend buying a deck without having prior knowledge about what is good. If you find something there you like let us know, and we'll recommend

Pioneer AVH-4300DVD. The absolute best headunit hands down. If you can fit it in your car you would be truly satisfied.

The absolute best headunit is a CarPC with a capacitive lilliput screen - hands down.
Best audio quality, best features, complete customizability.

If you're looking for easy, Pioneer makes alright stuff.

I've got an Alpine CDA 117 with PowerPack, sirius tuner, and BT if you're interested. I liked the sound quality and most of the features, but wasn't a huge fan of the EQ options on the newer Alpine decks and I'm moving to a double din with Nav.

EDIT: My BT was recently replaced by Alpine. Just in case anyone has followed my other posts. Don't want people to think I'm scamming!

I've had awesome experience with Pioneer decks ---- great quality, good features, and decent price ---- I'd find the Pioneer that you can afford and meets your needs and go for it.

I have the Pioneer Z120BT and it's great. Nav menus take a little getting used to (previously used a Garmin, a little more intuitive IMO). Simple bypass for video, plays just about all formats and has SD and USB capabilities. You can find it on Amazon pretty reasonably priced (mine had a $100 rebate too).
