Hi, I tried searching but not coming up with a quick answer.

I am hardwiring a Passport 9500ix to my 2010 Evo X. I watched radar roy install on youtube and he recommends attaching the power wire to an 'add-a-fuse'. He suggests installing it in the radio fuse slot so that the detector comes on when the car's ignition is turned on.

Here's my question -- anyone know what size the radio fuse is for the Evo -- it's probably a 'mini' and which type of 'add-a-fuse' i need to pick up?

UPDATE: With a little digging, I was able to get an answer -- the radio fuse is a 15amp mini (double blade) fuse. The passport 9500ix on the other hand uses a 1 or 2 amp fuse.

FURTHER UPDATE: Contrary to RadarRoy's suggestion, the Radio fuse on an Evo X is not switched (it's always hot), so I used the cigarette lighter fuse for the RD, and the exterior rearview mirror fuse for my GPS.
