Will stock wiring work with aftermarket speakers and amp

I'm looking into getting a simple JL audio set up for my X. Nothing crazy just want some better sound quality and power while I drive. Can I just use the stock wiring with the new equipment??

You could but you'd have to go from the Deck to the amp with RCA then back to the deck to tap into the harness. Double the work. You're better off just going directly to the speakers.

no, you just pull the driver seat out, pull the factory amp, and tap into the harness there.

that diagram is only kinda correct, some of the colors were different on my car.

What you do is use that as a rough guide.

Run new power and ground to the amp from the battery. Its really easy with the seat out.

cut the harnesses off. Cap the red wires as they are constant power.

Take a AA battery, and touch leads of wires to each side, positive to one side. You will hear one of the speakers buzz, and that tells you which speaker that wireset runs to. Repeat 4 times, then just extend those wires to the amp.

On the doors, just cut the speaker harness off. Green is ground, yellow is positive. The speakers twist out of the doors and sit in a factory plastic mount. Cut the speaker out of the mount (sawsall, dremel, whatever), mount your JLs into it, and twist back into the door.

Done.

Right. If its not the RF system you can skip all the wiring stuff except for the doors.

Well my system is the non-RF system but I do have the Navi.

My Bluetooth works just fine. I can stream music and take calls from my iPhone through the Bluetooth system with my NON-RF stereo system. But I almost always have the volume maxed out to have my music at a audible volume while I'm driving and I'm not even getting into sound quality.

Hence why I posted my initial question because I don't feel like paying some one to install my system for the same price it cost to buy the components. If its less work for me to keep the stock wiring and just splice everything I'll do that if it isn't I'll replace everything. I just want to know how much time I would need to set aside for this projet once all my components come in
