Replacing stock Rockford Sub

Anyone had any experience just putting a different sub in the enclosure? I have an older Rockford Sub but I was wondering if the stock amp could handle it and if it even fit since the magnet is probably bigger. I did some google searching but couldnt find much on swapping it out and on some lancer forums the guys were just recommending just replacing the amp if people were wanting to switch it out.

Any help/input would be appreciated.

I would imagine it depends on the specs of the AMP / Sub

I would imagine that as long as the size and specs of the new sub fit the enclosure I don't see an issue with that. However chances are you will need to upgrade the amp.

It will only work if the Specs for the new sub are the same meaning watts, rms etc and also you need to get a sub replacement of the same size to fit your enclosure
