Alternator whine

I have alternator whine with the stock MMCS and RF sound system.

For those of you that replace the entire system - head unit, amp, speakers - did you eliminate the whine?

Yes, but I had to use Ground Loop Isolators on the RCAs and a capacitor on the ground...

That being said, you shouldn't have alternator whine on the stock equipment.

If your system is stock I would take it back to the dealer under warranty.

If not, light a match and walk away. I've been battling my alternator whine for a year and a half. Hours of my own time spent and multiple days at multiple shops. It can be a real ***** to completely eliminate.

Can you elaborate methods you have tried? The 2 I mentioned earlier are the only ones I've tried, but I still get buzzing at random times if there is no audio playing.

That would take a while. Check out this thread. I posted on a few things.
