Stealth Gauges.

Well , I guess I am picky and stuff.

I sure don't like gauges in my car , I sure don't want my interior to look like an airplane ready for take off in the inside ( and hell, I am a pilot too! lol )

I sure don't like A pillar gauges, the first thing it reminds me is of the fast and the furious and the gazillion honda rice burners ( no pun intended to the tasteful done hondas)

Definitely putting a cluster on top of my gauge pod is rediculous
and putting a gauge post right in front of the shifter doesn't make any sense.

I guess the only thing left to do is stealth mods.

I was thinking of the following:

1) Zeitronix ZT-2 with Boost sensor and a LCD gauge.
What I would do is fabricate a custom enclosure that would fit under the radio/gps

2) Replace my stock Headunit and do a custom carpc , and output the info via evoscan.

the question is, anybody else have something stealthy I can look at?

I was even contemplating modding my stock gauge cluster.

opinion/other options?

thanks guys.

Do you have nav? You could always do single din gauges. Or in the glove box.

I don't now.. but I will in the next few months.

Problem with single din is that then I have to get an aftermarket radio , and fiddle with loosing FUSE.

man why did they make this car so hard to add guages lol.. I wish our information center in the front could be modded to display boost and AFR's lol

frustrating to say the least.

I have the lcd mounted under the hvac controls attached to a piece of plexiglass that i made to fit area and the piece. i also changed the color of the lcd to red to get closer to guage colors. if you want pics pm me your number and will message them to you since they are on my phone.

I bit the bullet on this one, I ended up getting the zeitronix zt2 , lcd display and an external pressure sensor.

I just need to tap for RPM/TPS and I am done.

armysolider i might be hitting you up again on the offer... since I got most of my stuff in place.

I do custom interiors/carbon stuff, and I've been putting gauges in the HVAC units and making panels for the OEM controls beneath it in the cubby. Works well. You might try sheets of ABS instead of plexi, it's a lot easier to work with
