@ ninja99,
looks good! How's the Pioneer AVH-X4500BT working for you? We are thinking of getting the same setup for my wife's RA.

so I got everything installed (same HU and dash kit) and the bracket doesn't seem to put the head unit right where it needs to be - too much gap. what screw holes did you use to get the Pioneer flush?

Slight gap near the top of the deck. I installed the dash kit with the trim ring that came with it. I'll see if i can get some pics.
Ok I finally took some pics. Sorry for the quality.

There a slight gap near the top. I used the trim ring that came with the AI kit. I also used the mounting bracket for the non-SSS base headunit. From the pics I see, using the Navi mounting bracket might make move the deck forward more and eliminate the gap I am seeing.

Hey, sorry it took so long to respond. I like the x4500bt a lot. I wish the Bluetooth mic worked better. I was getting a lot of complaints until I moved it on to the steering column. The people on the other end still don't think it is as clear as the OEM bluetooth was.

I got your PM. There are only one set of holes on the x4500 that the mounting brackets will fit into for the dash kit to work. I'm sure you probably found that out lol. The gap is slight near the top, but I think the navi mounting bracket may fix that. I'm gonna try to order a set to find out.

Sorry to bother you guys but I have the same kit and I'm planning on installing a chinese Android powered touch screen head unit.
I have the Rockford Fosgate system on my 2010 Lancer.
So I was told that I need the MITO-02 to get the amp and speakers working!
The question is:
If the MITO-02 will get my RF system working and the steering wheel buttons control? Or do I need to buy an adapter or some kind of special harness to get the steering wheel control?

I just finished ours up tonight. I got the same results you did, maybe just a bit tighter. I bent the upper supports just a bit and installed a couple of washers to raise it up a bit. it looks pretty good. still a small gap though. please post up your results with the alternate bracket.

You know im thinking of putting a android Nexus 7 and use this face plate but i was thinking if it was possible to push back the OEM touch screen back about 2 inches so i can put the nexus 7 in front of it so i could keep the audio system and just plug the nexus into the AUX . but just a thought lol.

I did some research, found Metra and Scosche, and was not impressed. Found this kit on eBay and bought it hoping it would be okay (it wasn't listed under American International, and no part numbers were in the listing). Got it last week and now found this thread - I am stocked looking at the pictures you guys posted! Thanks!

Does anybody know, do i need a different brackets when i install jdm dash trim and Alpine INE-S920HD? Or can I use existing brackets? Base gsr,non-amplified

It's a clarion HU, haven't yet tried to install, just trying to see how it fits

Hey thanks for all the pics on this post, they've really sealed the deal for me on the American international kit. From what I can tell it's the best looking, best fitting affordable dash kit and I will be ordering mine after this post ! So happy I stayed away from the metra and scosche kits, not very good from what I've seen. This one looks way better too with that silver strip, I don't think the others have that. Thx again!
