Hey guys. I decide to put mmcs in my evo and I have some questions about it. I check the forum and other websites but i cant find answers yo my questions so hopefully you guys can help me out.
Can mmcs play video trough usb with flash drive? Or videos from Ipod?
Can you watched riped dvds on the mmcs and can you rip from dvd to the hard drive?
Is there wifi or any way you can make it have internet?
Can you change background image ?
Thats it so far , im prety sure i will have more questions once I get it tought.

I don't know if it'll help you but i have a lancer sedan 08 and a MMCS inside, i dunno if some changes have been donne since but on mine when it was stock :

- no USB plug...
- videos from the AUX RCA is possible, but when your car move the screen is desactivate
- DVD watch is possible also ripped one but it's not possible to store it on the DD
- For the wifi i made a custom carputer to have it through a Raspberry Pi, but stock i didn't have it
- for the custom background image nope...

All i said was based on my MMCS which is an EURO one (i'm french) so maybe yours will be different.

I did a custom carputer using the "AUX in" and cut the VSS wire, unplug the nav antena to allow the AUX in motion. This could solve the USB and wifi lack of your MMCS:

No usb? How do you connect ipod without usb. My car has usb right now its in the glove box . I hope it will stay there and I will be able to controle my ipod through the mmcs !

 

I have an RCA in connection (white yellow red) behind the gear lever, but no USB, as i told you my MMCS is from 2010 and is a euro one. I can't help you about your USB plug in the glovebox... I don't have one...

 

is someone else know if you can play video throught the usb ?

 

I don't think you can, think that's audio only for iPod and mp3 players, for video you have to use the aux inputs in the center console.
